Disappearing background

I had this problem for years with just one screen. Never did find a fix for it. It seemed to appear with PH609 and it still does it in PH819C. I am on an HP3000 with MPEix. I finally decided that it happens because the user continually goes from one screen to another screen, back to the same screen all day long. It seems like the buffer finally gets full. The user has to get out of the screen and get back in to get the backgroud (labels & screen id#'s) back. CNTL-G will not re-paint the lost background. I checked with my user and she still has this happen often. I just gave up after spending hours and hours trying to fix it and trying things that Cognos told me to try but nothing ever fixed it. The user has just had to live with it for about 5 years now. This user now has a different computer and is in another office, so the hardware change did not effect it. She is working on a Mac with Reflections.
