G'day Enid
Are you able to save the new FDL file with the expanded record length?
How are you using the FDL to create the new data file, CREATE/FDL=newfdl.fdl
filename?
Has the FDL file been defined as a logical?
Regards,
Blue

Subject: Length of records in FDL file
Listers -
We currently use an .FDL file called GEN_ASCTXT.FDL which is a template
for
our ascii text output files, generated from QTP. It currently has a
line
length size of 1023 characters whereas we need to output 2093.
I have tried copying this file and altering the size but this has not
worked. Is there a FDL generate process we have to use, or is 1023 the
upper limit?
