Part of Screen Erased in Quick PH819C3

Georgia, There is the possibility (okay - more than just a possibility!)
that this is an internal PowerHouse screen management problem. We have seen
this kind of problem before on rare occassions. Unfortunately, without a
reproducable scenario (I know - I hear the groans), these kind of problems
are almost impossible to fix. One suggestion would be that, if you have a
single user that hits this problem frequently, set up their environment so
that it will create QKECHO files. This might help to see if there is a
pattern of action going on that causes the problem. Be sure to have the user
exit and rename the echo file once a problem occurs, so that it does not get
overwritten by the subsequent run since HP doesn't have multiple versioned
files. Depending on what the user does, the QKECHO file may not be
rerunnable (if database changes occur that cannot be redone). But, it may
help find a reproducable scenario. Sometimes just knowing that a certain
sequence of calls is used in every case helps find the culprit. This has
been done, but it takes time and effort.

Subject: Part of Screen Erased in Quick PH819C3
I have a problem where part of my original screen is erased when coming back
from a subscreen that overwrites part of the original screen. It doesn't do
it all the time, just some times - at least once a day. I am on MPEix 5.5
and Quick PH819C3. This only started doing this when I upgraded to PH819C3.
When this happens the user must get out of the main screen, back to the menu
and then go back to the screen in order to get back the part of the screen
that is erased.
I worked with someone at Cognos Customer Support and they could not
duplicate the problem. I tried putting Refresh All on the Run Screen
command but that didn't help. I also tried moving the subscreen to
different parts of the screen but that didn't help. We also tried using a
different terminal (switched from a dumb terminal to a Mac with Reflections)
and that didn't help.
My user has experienced losing part of her screen on a daily basis for over
a year now. It is quite annoying.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with Quick PH819C3?
Thanks!
