TURBO Image users, help

It all depends. I once used a KSAM file as an add-on to get partial key
retrieval against an IMAGE master file on certain fields. Generally, if you
have the full source to your application, you might be able to augment just
a few critical retrieval paths with KSAM. Tweak a few screens to also
update the KSAM file along with the relevant IMAGE file. The initial load
of the KSAM file might take a while, but after that, it is possibly a
minimal impact to update it for new/changed/deleted records. I remember
adding a nightly process to refresh that KSAM file just in case.

That was many, many pounds ago...
