Versions, Release notes

You should be able to get old release notes from Support. As I recall, the release notes for versions 8.40E, 8.40F, and 8.40G are on the Web at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3626&uid=swg27014618

For PowerHouse Series 8, there was an 8.00, 8.10, and 8.20, but they did not have all of the OpenVMS features. 8.30 was the first Series 8 release to have most of the OpenVMS specific features added back in. I don’t recall the specific release letters. For 8.40, I believe the first OpenVMS release was 8.40D followed by 8.40D1, 8.40E, 8.40F, and 8.40G.

Going back to Version 6, my memory gets fuzzy. Again, support should be able to tell you. I had a full list of all the releases and versions but that list did not come with me into retirement. I left it with the person who took over from me.

As I recall, there was a 6.00 and 6.10. I’m not sure about 6.20 and I can’t remember specific letters.
