ASTFLT issues

I haven't run it manually with that user account but have run it manually with my account and get similar result.
There is no error dump. If I run it interactively my session will simply terminate. If I run it in batch the logfile shows no errors. It's only through the accounting utility that I was able to determine the final status of the job to be ASTFLT.

Ever since moving from the GS160/vms 7.3-1 to the ES47/vms 7.3-2
I have batchjobs and user processes that are terminating with an ASTFLT error message

I have one in particular that I've been using as a guinea pig (no test system) that the batchjob either sits in the batch queue in an executing state but doing nothing or it manages to get through part of the command procedure but then terminates with an ASTFLT final status.
This particular batchjob runs a small qtp then a small quiz and then prints a report.
When I check the logfile, I notice that the qtp part has completed, indicated by the records read/transaction processed stats and a comment line I put in the command procedure simply saying QTP finished and then nothing else in the logfile.
Using the accounting utility I was able to determine the final status of ASTFLT.

Has anyone seen or experienced anything like this? Any and all suggestions welcome as I'm at a loss.

I've increased the quotas on the account that runs this job and still nothing.
