Depends on your ACCESS statement. ACCESS SEQUENTIAL only works for PRIMARY 
files. If you use it, you do get a warning. Other ACCESS options should 
work, although I prefer to put these on the WHILE RETRIEVING unless I'm 
accessing the file in more than one place.

As an aside, it does NOT work if you simply put an ACCESS statement on
the FILE declaration. Maybe it's something about being a subfile...
