I agree on using CC's for code that CANNOT be portable.

I have 6 different CC's already set up (PHVersion, Database type, Language,
application, clientid, Quick/Qkview) BUT I won't use CC's for anything that
can be written in straight powerhouse. That code was in a copy module so
it's pointless on how 'complicated' it is compared to an O/S specific
variable.

And Chuck, if you haven't experienced other platforms already, you'll be
amazed at how fast other machines are. Not to mention how easy it is to port
the application from HP to Windows/Linux/Unix. QKView gives new life to an
otherwise "old" looking application.
