Sorry Michel,

I don’t use Axiant. I hate it and will never use it.

I convert Powerhouse applications to Powerhouse for windows. With the new QKView presentation layer, it looks good enough for our clients.

Here is my advice and you can take it or leave it.

1) Convert your application to PH/Windows

2) Convert your data structures to an Oracle database.

3) Convert your application to PH/Web if you want to get to that level.

I believe the client server look-and-feel of QKView is more than enough for a first cut. If the Client still wants to go that extra step, go to a Web front end.

Whichever path you take, getting to the point of a user being able to use a MOUSE, is a long and painful path.

And if anyone tells you they can convert your application to Java or .Net quickly and more efficiently, they are FULL OF CRAP. The code that comes out of these code generators is un-maintainable except by the person who created them.

I can probably convert your application in as little as a month depending on the complexity. From there you can learn how to build and maintain a PH/Windows application. The hard work would be all done for you. If you are interested, send me a message.
