Support is different on AIX and Windows versus OpenVMS due to when Oracle releases various versions. Whenever there's a new version, a new gateway is usually required. Sometimes the old gateway will work is you use the old client.

Hi Scott - we ran AIX powerhouse 8.20 and now run 8.41d - 10g without any problem

I think you should just install 10g on a test machine and try it but there should be no problem.

Is anyone out there running the following?

OpenVMS 7.3-2

PowerHouse 8.20.D

Oracle 10g

We are in the process of migrating to Oracle 10g (form 9i) and am trying to get some feedback on success or horror stories, or if it is even feasible. The shop does not want to upgrade PowerHouse at this time.

I would appreciate any input.

Thanks,
