PHTEMP folder location

Yes that works.
However, I found something very interesting.
If you run QUICK and from a menu, we call the $AT command to submit a
job, which runs QUIZ and/or QTP; the later RE-USE the same PHTEMP folder
created before QUICK ran.
In other words, QUICK creates a PHnnnn.TMP folder (where 'nnnn' is an
arbitrary number) and all QUIZ/QTP sessions later will not create a new
PH temp folder, but re-use the same one created by QUICK.
This is also answers our original SUBWORK error, that I raised to the
group a couple of weeks back. If the user submits a job to run
QTP/QUIZ/QUICK from a QUICK session, as the parent, and exits the system
(ie: stops the first QUICK session), then Powerhouse will actually
REMOVE the temp folder, even though the other sessions running in the
background rely on it! Hence they crash with SUBWORK because those
subsequent sessions could not write to the temp folder! It doesn't exist
anymore!
I wonder if Powerhouse can be told that every time a new Powerhouse
module is created, that it create new and unique PH temp folders!?
Thanks

I think it is the Unix variable PHTEMP.
If you do the following:
export PHTEMP=xxxx
and run QTP, it would create qtpsave and other temp files in xxxx
directory instead of your home directory.

This one is for those that know PH and the use of it under Unix quite
well.
We're experiencing weird issues with PH 8.23 under the Sun Solaris, and
with the PH*.* temporary folders it creates.
Is there a setting in Powerhouse (QKGO, system var?) that can tell
Powerhouse to default all temporary files/folders/etc to a designated
location?
Thanks
