Quiz and Sendmail

Matt,

On the way home I had another thought about this.

1. Use INITIAL HEADING to write the address(es) at the start of the
report.
2. Send the output to a disc file in a fixed location.
3. Write a batchjob/script that is scheduled to run on a regular basis.

The batchjob/script does the following.

a. Checks a fixed location (see 2 above) for a file.
b. Strips the first record, containing the recipient address(es), from
the disc file.
c. Invoke sendmail with required parameters and address(es) obtained in
b.
d. Delete file found in a.

I don't know the sendmail syntax but you might be able to do something
like this to trick Quiz to your will.

	set report device printer "sendmail touser"

That might work if sendmail accepts the input file from the pipe.

For this problem I would go with Robert's suggestion.
