VMS to WINDOWS approach ( set lang SQL - gen database...) ?

how about this -

create a copy of the pdl source with the lowest level redefines as the new 
highest level, recompile the dict  ( under new name ), setdict to the new 
dictionary and then run the 'set lang sql/gen database' command against the 
new dictionary/record layouts.
