Going by the ph7 manual i think you're right, so we could do this if the programs where recompiled to ph8.

no problem with PH8 upwards. I think PH7 could access rdb or interbase only,
possibly Sybase also.

Hi,

We dont use a relational database on vms so this might be a nonsensical
question.  

Can you have rms and say classic oracle in the same dictionary / same
programs? e.g. an entry screen which writes to rms and oracle or a qtp which
picks up an rms file and writes to a relational database.

If it is possible is it inadvisable for any reason? or only possible in
certain versions of ph?
