question about databases on VMS

Hi,

We dont use a relational database on vms so this might be a nonsensical question.  

Can you have rms and say classic oracle in the same dictionary / same programs? e.g. an entry screen which writes to rms and oracle or a qtp which picks up an rms file and writes to a relational database.

If it is possible is it inadvisable for any reason? or only possible in certain versions of ph?
