Thank you for the input.

A few reactions.

1. License. Definately generic key on use on 7 3 member clusters, and countless other lab and development nodes, none of
which exhibit this behaviour. So I'm doubtful key or type of key is the issue.

2. Peter. Thanks for your thoughts too. I can't see an ES45 having any sort of performance issues since with 500 users
it FLYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have had email from users asking if they are the only one on the system because its so fast !!!!
ITs such an issue that I have heard gossip that it makes the replacement system (3 tier JAVA/ORACLE of course) that
is being developed look bad from a performance measurement. The systems are linked with Memory Channel devices
and a very fast HSG80 access to a SAN disk structure. Believe me Peter delays or performance are not the issue.
The users who run into this are involved in local transactions at the time as well.
I checked the Cognos Knowledge Base. Nothing. However on the net I did find a reference to someone making an extra
copy of the license file and putting it in SYS$MANAGER. Dumb but perhaps we could try that if the problem reoccurs.
