Any chance of "Googlizing" the Archives?

Any chance of Googlizing the Archives or something similar?

Downloading the raw archive takes over 6 min on a 100Mb NIC.  If 
Googlized; it could allow users to just pick the Monthly Archive that 
has the desired results.

Any thoughs?
