Could you send us the PDL for the records?

- Are the records different layouts of the same file or are they two
different physical files?
- When you say the data from A ends up in B, are the items named the
same?
- Are there subscreens involved that could be causing problems?

Chris,
I'm sure it is Powerhouse and quite sure it is quick rather than qtp.
The problem comes up just for one or two records a week. In qtp this
file is mass updated so I don't think it's qtp. No external procedures
used. Some 3gl used, but not for these records.
To answer Bob:
I recompiled everything last week (I thought that may be the case too)
but that makes no difference. I even 'recovered' the dictionary with
phdmaint, but that didn't help either.
