I checked into Oracle 9i usage and specifically this case. We were not
able to reproduce the problem in Ottawa. There were some similar, but
not identical, issues that had been fixed for our maintenance release
due late this year. We added those fixes to the release version
resulting in the build mentioned (1965.5). Apparently, that solved the
problem.

The issues other customers have had involve configuration issues, as is
not abnormal when moving to new versions. One issue that seems to be
common is that PowerHouse uses the 32-bit Oracle libraries, not the
64-bit ones.

As for the dual move (PowerHouse 8.23 to 8.43 AND Oracle 8.0.6 to 9i)
all I can do is apologize for the lateness of the release which actually
caused the problem. By the time we were ready to release, we found that
in order to support 9i we had to drop support for 8.0.6. This was a
technical issue and was not intended when the release was initially
planned.
