Job description: 
The consultant will be responsible for researching the functionality of the Price Merge (PRMERGE) functionality that is currently running in an HP3000 environment. This will involve a series of interviews with employees who best know the current system, as well hands-on research as necessary. The consultant will produce functional specifications to re-engineer this functionality in the Unix/Oracle environment. 

The individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization.

The PRMERGE effort is part of a large initiative to migrate all remaining jobs off the HP3000 machine. The focus of the HP3000 work is to migrate existing production systems onto Oracle/Solaris architecture.

QA Tester - Mainframe Legacy Application : Boston MA

- Must have at least 5+ years experience in QA testing and validation
- Must have experience with testing methodologies like unit testing,integration testing, system testing, Functional testing,Regression testing
- Must be able to create and execute excellent test plans and test cases to cover all business and technical requirements
- Must have testing experience of Batch Jobs with Cobol
- Experience with HP3000 technologies: MPEX,HP-COBOL, Image database, Suprtool, QEDIT, Powerhouse components like QUIZ,QTP,QUICK,PDL, Maestro job scheduler, NBS, V-PLUS and Query will be highly preferred although these are NOT mandatory
- Testing experience of GXS and HP9000 technologies is a plus: HP Unix commands , ANSI X12(HIPAA) maps testing both manually and with automated test
tools, EDISIM, OracleSQL, TextPad to edit test files
- Knowledge of Healthcare payer domain is highly preferred
