Axiant Thin Client, field by field editing performance

Does anyone have guidance on user-interface performance design issues in
Thin Client Axiant deployment. 

Specifically the difference between editing each field when a person enters
data,  versus waiting till the full screen has been entered and then editing
all fields at once.   I did read somewhere but don't remember where that
editing field by field affects performance considerably at remote locations.
This will be an issue for us if it is true.
