**Data conversion error ** in Quiz !

Amar:

You may need the NUMERIC option on your PDL ITEM statement or you may need 
to take it off.


NUMERIC indicates that the datatype, ZONED, is to have a type of LEADING 
SIGN NUMERIC rather than
RIGHT OVERPUNCHED NUMERIC.

You can test this in QUIZ  by:-

Define x char * 10 = CHARACTERS ( ZONED_ITEM )

Report x

a)If the right most character  is numeric and left most character is not 
then you probably want the NUMERIC option.

b)If the right most is character is one of the overpunched characters then 
you don't want the NUMERIC
option.

If you have a mixture of a and b then you need to go back to the people 
loading this stuff and
say we need to be consistent.
