What is the data source, flat files or a RDBMS?
Could it be that the PHD definition for this item is wrong? I.e. maybe the
actual data is an INT, FLOAT, etc. ZONED is normally when each byte
represents a digit plus 1 byte for the sign in the case of SIGNED. If the
data is actually binary rather than character then PH won't translate it
correctly.

Subject: **Data conversion error ** in Quiz !

Hi All,

I have come across a peculiar problem while running Quiz. Basically I
get data conversion errors. I investigated more, and found out that
these errors are coming up due to negative values in the data file.
PowerHouse Quiz is not able to read these values, and subsequently
convert them, and hence it is outputting 0.

The data type of this item in error is ZONED SIGNED 10. Has anyone come
across such an issue ? Is there any global PH setting to take care of
this ? I am unable to figure out what is going wrong, and where.

I am running PH 8.23.D7 on HP-UX/9000 SuperDome machine.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Amar
