1) One license for each unique user (based on username and device name). So
in a terminal environment, each session is a unique user. Running QUIZ or
QTP from QUICK as a subprocess still counts as the same user, so a RUN
COMMAND QUIZ is still the same user. However, if you launch a separate batch
process/job, then it will use another license.
2) Try using LMSTAT. You should find some information in the Getting Started
book or contact Customer Support.

Subject: Licensing Questions.
Greetings and Salutations,
Using PH 8.23 d7 on HP-UX.
I'm currently doing a quick analysis on min/max license usage for this
client. It's been some time since I worked with the licensing - So, I was
hoping for some confirmation of my memory.
1) As I recall, there is one license checked out for highest level PH
program used by each login session. E.g. A user running quick screens on
two different login sessions is using two licenses, but running a quiz/qtp
from those screens via RUN COMMAND does not check out additional license(s).
Is this correct?
2) Is there some feature in the utilities to report on license usage at any
given point? (As opposed to simply polling the system for processes using
PH programs).
Thanks to all,
Jon
