my employer has suggested development in c++ as a low-cost alternative to axiant.

my gut feeling is that however attractive this is personally, it would be a terrible idea from a business point of view.

do any listers have experience of ground up development in c++/sqlserver, or of moving there from powerhouse/axiant?

regards,
stephen.
