We have used unix at/cron for one year on HP-UX / HP9000. My experience is =
that basic batch handling is MUCH more primitive on unix than what we had=20
on MPE/ix. By making small unix scipts, we have improved the at-command so =
that it stores output from jobs in text files that can be saved/arhived,=20
and puts som statusflags and timestamps into a database table.
What really surprises me, is that it does not seem to exists any third=20
party batchmanagement software for unix that takes care of these things in =
a more sophisticated way. Ok, I have not done all that research, and maybe =
such products exists, but my unix gurus and our local HP store have not=20
come up with anything so far.
regards
