It's time for Powerhouse.Net !!!

I remember when PC Powerhouse came out. Cognos positioned and priced it
as a product to offload develop from minicomputers so it was around
$2000 canadian. If they had priced it at the same level of Dbase they
might have owned that market.

It shouldn't be that hard to .Net enable quick and quiz.

Quite agree with Bob's rant on Recruiters. Its unbelievable what is
being asked for for

most jobs/contracts these days.

And before anyone thinks retraining will get them working again, let me
share my experience.

I completed 4 Cognos BI courses in Impromptu/PowerPlay and thinking that
with

several years of Oracle, and over 15 years general IT work in all sorts
of things would

get me working. NOPE !

Must have 2-5 years experience !

To add to the recruiter bashing, I don't even think they look at emails
anymore. They

are just so swamped with out of work IT workers (in this Gov Proclaimed
best economy ever !)

that I have yet to receive anything but automated responses.

To get back to the original thread, IS POWERHOUSE DEAD ?

I believe what we are doing in this forum now is simply trying to
establish the

time of death !
