Quite agree with Bob's rant on Recruiters. Its unbelievable what is =
being asked for for
most jobs/contracts these days.
And before anyone thinks retraining will get them working again, let me =
share my experience.
I completed 4 Cognos BI courses in Impromptu/PowerPlay and thinking that =
with
several years of Oracle, and over 15 years general IT work in all sorts =
of things would
get me working. NOPE !
Must have 2-5 years experience !
To add to the recruiter bashing, I don't even think they look at emails =
anymore. They
are just so swamped with out of work IT workers (in this Gov Proclaimed =
best economy ever !)
that I have yet to receive anything but automated responses.
To get back to the original thread, IS POWERHOUSE DEAD ?
I believe what we are doing in this forum now is simply trying to =
establish the
time of death !
