I have been using the Axiant version 3.4B with a native DB2 connection on
Windows 2000 and I have not had any DB issues even with the product being
beta.

Hi Neil,

Due to a significant upgrade to the relational database support in the next
release of the PowerHouse family of products (to be built on the same
relational data access layer as the new Cognos Series 7 BI platform), both
PowerHouse 4GL 8.43 and PowerHouse Web 2.43 on HP-UX, AIX, and Solaris will
have native support for IBM's DB2 UDB. (DB2 isn't available on Tru64 UNIX
and so PowerHouse will not be able to offer access to DB2 from that
platform.)

PowerHouse 4GL 8.41 and PowerHouse Web 2.41 on Windows 2000/NT4 will also
have the same native support for DB2.

Axiant 3.4 is the version of the PowerHouse developer's workbench that
supports these versions of PowerHouse 4GL and PowerHouse Web and so it too
will support native access to DB2.

When will all of this be available I hear you ask? Maybe Bob Deskin or Carol
Thompson can help me out here???

Best regards,
Conrad

Does anyone know if PowerHouse on HP-UX natively supports DB2?

Regards

Neil
