C-ISAM Support > 2GB

I know for certain that the next UNIX version of PowerHouse 4GL (8.43) and
PowerHouse Web (2.43) will be built with the C-ISAM 7.25, which gets around
the current 2GB file limit.

Not sure about your point about the data and index files counting as two
opens...maybe Bob can answer that one?

Best regards,
Conrad

Subject: C-ISAM Support > 2GB

With Powerhouse on HP-UX, it seem that Indexed Subfiles (using C-ISAM)
can be a max of 2GB.
Is there a workaround - we have configured fsadm for large file support,
and can create normal files > 2GB.

Also, it seems that PowerHouse counts each C-ISAM .dat and .idx as
individual files, thus only allowing 16 C-ISAM files to be open in any
one session. Is this correct, and if so, are there plans to increase the
32 file limit in the near future.

Regards

Neil
