I apologize if this is considered marketing/selling but I can't help it.
Anyone considering "webifying" their PowerHouse applications should consider
PowerHouse Web and at least compare it with the other options available. If
you're doing that, make sure you get the new version (even if it's still in
beta) for the evaluation.
If you want to know why, e-mail me. I don't want to tie up the list with a
big sales pitch.

I'm wondering what other MPE shops are considering as a replacement for the
HP 3000 and PowerHouse or if you're even considering migration.
We've been a MPE and PH shop for over 15 years and have five applications
running in PH. A year ago, we considered moving the largest application to
Axiant but the board wouldn't commit the funds. Since the November
announcement, we've revisited the Axiant decision and also starting looking
at other options like Visual Basic and Delphi or webifying the application
with Java, Cold Fusion, etc.
No decisions have been made and I doubt we'll do anything for at least
another six months. If OpenMPE is successful, there's the possibility we
could stay with the HP and PH.
So what options are you considering?
John
