Powerhouse 7.10/8.30 VMS upgrade (survey results - sort of)

FWIW, I'd be particularly careful reading anything into anything else.
HP and their sponsorship of product lines <HP3000> is open to healthy
mistrust.  Continuation of the VMS port to Itanium is just that...a VMS
port and nothing else.

Itanium (nee Merced) will be around for awhile, if for
no other reason than HP's sponsorship, which they took on
long before acquiring Compaq. That they are continuing the
VMS port to Itanium indicates the Alpha platform will live
on for at least a bit.
