This discussion seems to be unnecessarily concerned about its original
"potential" impact.
This "list" is for the discussion of Cognos related issues, problems,
questions, . .
Requests about a particular product, OS, or platform, should not lead
others to think anything other than someone one is "gathering"
information.
Just because I would like to know what someone thinks are going to be next
week's winning lottery numbers doesn't mean everyone should think I'm
going to buy a ticket with those numbers.
My 3.14159 cents.

Hi all,
I have to agree with all other PowerHouse-list members, Cheryl. Before
your email was sent out I wasn't even interested in what your colleague
Jim had to say (no offence, Jim, but we just don't use Axiant (yet)). But
now it appears to have attracted quite some interest from all over the
world, as far as the South Pacific, where I'm at.
I'm very eager to find out what Amisys is planning to do with your current
(obviously legacy) systems. We all may learn from it too.
At this point in time Amisys seems to have gained negative attention only.
It may be wise for your genaral manager to take immediate measures to
ensure that no one will ever put Amisys in a bad position again.
As for Jim: Good luck with your Axiant migration. Please keep in touch to
teach us about your migration process.

Importance: High
The recent posting on the Cognos listserver by Jim Pantos, Sr. Technical
Development Advisor for AMISYS LLC, was by no means authorized by the
corporation and was purely an independent action on the part of Mr.
Pantos. It does NOT represent the stated strategy of AMISYS development
efforts in any way, and in particular with our definitive plans to use
Axiant as the means to provide our clients with a GUI interface to our
product according to established timeframes.
AMISYS has taken immediate measures to ensure that a situation like this
never happens again.
It is our goal to ensure that our customers and valued vendor partners
have correct information about our product development strategy and vision
for the future.
