I just had to make a few corrections to your posting. 1) It's 'HP e3000' not 'HP3000e'. 2) It's 'HP e3000 N4000' not 'HP N4000'. 3) You cannot make the following blanket statement 'the HP3000e will go unsupported in 2006'. The 'HP e3000' is a product group that is in continual development. As time goes on then 'older servers' within this 'product group' will be replaced by 'newer servers'. When this happens, HP CSY announce an end-of-support date for that server. Have a look at http://www.hp.com/products1/mpeixservers/news_events/discont/servers/E300000 1L3T.html to get the CORRECT details. 4) MPE doesn't need porting to the N4000. It runs on it already. 5) It doesn't matter what processor the HP e3000 is using. You will not have to care. MPE/iX (the OS) will give you the same view of the machine. Try to get your facts correct or don't post at all. ***************************** Robert W.Mills, Systems Development Manager, Windsong Services Electron House, Cray Avenue, St. Mary Cray, Kent BR5 3PN, ENGLAND Tel: +44 (0)1689.870622 x 3005 Fax: +44 (0)1689 899026 robert.mills@windsong-services.co.uk ******************************** The thoughts, comments, and opinions expressed herein are mine.
