This question is mainly for users of the MPE/iX platform but may interest others. In case you did not know it, version 819C is the end of the road for PowerHouse Architec. Don't know how long they will support it or at what level (any response from Cognos on this?). To continue using Architec to maintain your PDL's after upgrading to the next release of PowerHouse, i.e. 839, you'll have to: 1) keep your last 819C release on the system and get Architec to point to it, 2) only generate the PDL source via Architec, 3) manually compile the PDL source using your new release. Now for the real reason for this posting: 1) Is anybody using Axiant to maintain their PDL sources and what is your opinion? I'm thinking of getting a ?single-user? copy to initially perform this function (at some point I'll also do a little experimenting). 2) Currently we have three (3) Architec environments that are used to create two (2) PHD's. To make the story short, let's just say that it's caused by record/element name and definition clashes. If you need further details then please ask off-list. Will Axiant help with this? I PROMISE THAT: 1) 'private' replies on this subject will NOT be forwarded to the list by me. 2) any summarised posting that I make will not contain any identifier to the supplier's) of that information. regards, +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ |Robert W.Mills (Systems Development Manager) | |Windsong Services, St. Mary Cray, ENGLAND | |Tel : +44 (0)1689 870622 x3005 | |Fax : +44 (0)1689 899026 | |Email: Robert.Mills@windsong-services.co.uk | +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ ------_=_NextPart_001_01C10AD3.1F67FB50 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2//EN">PowerHouse Architec on MPE/iX vs. Axiant Hi fellow listers...
