Hi Mike,
you would have to upgrade to 8.10, 8.20 or try 8.30, unless your are going
to use Digital Unix in which case you would have to upgrade to 8.13 or 8.23.
The Unix option is the only one which can officially access Oracle 7.33, the
VMS versions all officially access Oracle 8/8i only.
I believe that PH 8.30 may still be currently available to beta test and
restores lots of functionality lost to 8.10 and 8.20, particularly the POW
type dictionary interface.

Subject: PH 7.10G on VMS 7.1.2 and Oracle
Hello ...
We currently run PH 7.10G on VMS 7.1.2 with an Oracle/RDB database
(V7.0-16).
We are considering converting the database from Oracle/RDB to "true" Oracle
7.3.3.6 (or higher).
Does anyone know if we would have to do anything special with any of our
Powerhouse code? Would the dictionary be affected? Would we need to
recompile all Quick screens? Any other issues to consider?
Thanks
