[MANMAN:2142] Manman ASK dates and Powerhouse PDL

I've recently been made aware of the capability to have a Powerhouse PDL
automatically convert/interpret MANMAN dates.  
 
Can someone provide me with more details on this?  Is it something provided
by Cognos?  
 
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
