The clash of ELEMENTs

G'day Leonard

I am not familiar with TurboImage. Can you just delete the element
definitions from the PDL and let PH get the metadata directly from the
databases instead? Then as long as you fully specify the <tablename> IN
<database> in the PH code there should be no conflict.

Blue

Subject: The clash of ELEMENTs

(PowerHouse 8.19 C3, HP3000)

I have two data bases that I need (or prefer) to incorporate into a single
dictionary. They have several elements in common, but with different
attributes.
If these were KSAM or flat files, it would be a simple matter of putting a
prefix on one of the two names. What will happen if I use a prefix on a
TurboImage element/item? I do not see any method of aliasing in the PDL
syntax.

(Before posting the question, I thought of just trying it, but there seem to
be
too many common elements to make this test happen quickly.)

Thanks.
