Presumably there is a common key or index. Try this:

ACCESS setA LINK TO setB OPTIONAL
SELECT IF NOT RECORD setB EXISTS

This will create a record complex whether SETB exists or not and then select
those that do not have a SETB.

Subject: Linking question

Morning all (at least at this part of the world!),

I am wondering what is the best way to link two data sets together so that
the
output file contains records from SET A that are NOT in SET B. Any ideas
would
be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Jeff Keepers
