PH Documentation

The PowerHouse Books 1.2 PDF documentation (covering PowerHouse 4GL 8.19 on
MPE/iX and 8.13 on UNIX) is currently only available for download from the
Cognos web site at www.cognos.com/products/powerhouse/download.html. Printed
versions of these manuals can be ordered through your Cognos account
manager.

Our documentation group are currently looking at upgrading the tools that
they use to create both our printed and on-line documentation. I am told
that these new tools may make it easier for them to offer new documentation
formats (such as HTML) in the future.

What we are investigating for the next release of the product documentation
(to coincide with the release of PowerHouse 4GL 8.39 on MPE/iX and 8.30 on
OpenVMS) is making the download of the documentation installation kit as
small as possible, and also creating the PDF documents in such as format
that they can be viewed from the Cognos web site as efficiently as possible.
