Changing default message in Quick (on MPE/iX 8.19c3)

Tim,
Quick's messages are stored in the file QKMSGE, in the group and account
you're running Quick from. To change a message
- copy the QKMSGE file
- change the message you don't like
- set a file equation to use the new message file:
:file qkmsge=myqkmsg.mygrp.myacct
Note:
- Don't mess with the record numbers in the file.
- The modified message should contain the same number of characters as the
original message. (I assume you can pad with blanks)
I haven't tested any of this, just looked it up in the "Qdesign Chapter
Reference Manual", chapter 2.
