Colin,

If you have are using Image, you will need the sort order field to be
defined in Image as a sorted key. If you are using KSAM, you will need to
have the sort order as a key structure and use the '@' or '@@' for partial
key retrieval in sorted order. If you are using a Allbase or Oracle, you
can retrieve the data by defining the sorted order.

If none of these are an option; call QTP to build a temporary subfile before
retrieving the data or calling the screen. Then use the subfile to display
the data on the screen. If you need to update the data, have the subfile
relate to the data file via a secondary file declaration in the screen.
Under HP3000, the QTP step is slow enough to be visible to the end user.
The same technique used under HP-UX is so fast, the end user does not
realize any type of non Quick processing.

Email or phone me if you want any further clarification to the above.

We are using PowerHouse version 8.19.C5 on HP3000.

My question is regarding Qdesign screens. We have a clustered screen and
our internal customers who use this screen have requested that the cluster
be sorted. Can this be done in the screen itself or is there another way?
