I'm on 7.10g3, and it appears to work just fine (below) - please clarify.
Or do you mean a logical whose name contains "@" (symbol names can't in DCL) ?
That also works for me.

7.10g was unusable (& g1 I think); g2, g3 are OK; g4 claims to fix the licence
daemon hangs, so I'll be moving to that when convenient.

It seems the norm that major PH releases are unusable, and it takes a minor
release or several to get stuff ironed out: 7.10e was a case in point; e4 was
the first usable iirc. It would be nice if Cognos confessed to the problems as
soon as they hear about them (here and/or on the supported customers site),
rather than letting us all do the work of upgrading & discovering them 
independently.
