Bob, What is the format of the "OpenVMS differences list"?
Is it an executable?
Can't it be dropped into a text format and then into a message ?

My point is that we should not expect a medium that is
standardized for access by many to also be able 
to handle a variety of proprietary (sp?) formats as well. 

Restated : Certain and various vendors are trying to
impose their 'standard' by having users that insist
that "I can't send my whatever directly from my deskapp
so you all have to bend to accept my needs. i.e. use
this software also. "

Our web and ftp site (s) are behind a firewall. Also, the ftp site is
typically restricted to supported customers. Either way, it's not the
easiest way to quickly disseminate information.

As for PH Web, that's different. We did most of our development and testing
inside the firewall. We use multiple machines connected via our LAN. We also
have some machines that are outside that LAN (but highly controlled) so we
can test over the internet itself.
