Migrating from PH to Java / RDBMS

G'day again folks

While this list is quite active (477 'public' members) Cognos has well over
40,000+ PowerHouse/Axiant supported licenses 'out there' and there are
probably many thousands of 'unsupported' users. I know of new PowerHouse
sites as well.

If each site had only one PH developer then there must be well over 40,000
of us 'out there'. Compared to more than a million people claiming to be
Java professionals, 40K+ is not a lot. But 40K+ IS a lot if you think about
the level of experience they have.

If you really think that PH people are declining fast, have a thought for
tools like DIBOL. I think there your talking about a few thousand at best.

Sorry for the rambling; it's the end of a day wrestling with PH syntax
inconsistencies (Quick vs Quiz vs QTP). :)

Regards,
Blue in Houston (but not for long)

There are a lot fewer than there used to be.

And maybe some are not so savvy. :-)
