Oracle Spatial Data type

Hi List,

We have a client who wants to switch from Interbase to Oracle 8i so they can
make use of the spatial data type provided by Oracle 8i. 
They like to add columns of Spatial Data type to some of their tables.
PowerHouse is not going to use these columns (this is done by a Windows
app).

Is their anybody that has Oracle 8 databases that use columns of Spatial
data type?
