I saw comments that Bruce Toback authored and marketed PDQ. I read that
Cognos sued for copyright or such and he chose not to go bankrupt in the
legal proceedings and gave up on PDQ. You could go to one of the threaded
archives, hey, why not use Bruce's for that matter? Do a search on PDQ or
TOBACK. Interesting stuff. Bruce's threaded archives at

If you use dejanews for searching the archives then I suggest going
directly to the Power Search page http://www.deja.com/home_ps.shtml This
will allow
you to put your search string in one box and specify comp.sys.hp.mpe to
limit the scope of the search. Plus it isn't limited to recent postings
only.
