Unique Number

Running Powerhouse Ver. 7.33D on an HP9000.  I need to create a unique
variable that cannot be duplicated within a twelve month period.  A
sequential number cannot be stored anywhere is not stored anywhere also.
Anyone have a calculation or formula that already does this?  Thanks, Chris
