How can I test for errors in QTP and QUIZ in a job stream?

QUIZ and QTP set variables you can test in a job. QUIZ sets the variables
QUIZ and CJCW. If QUIZ aborts or has a problem, these will be non-zero
values. QTP uses the variables QTP and CJCW. All of our production jobs test
these variables for problems, then ESCAPE if necessary.

Subject: How can I test for errors in QTP and QUIZ in a job stream?

Hi all,

I am running PH 8.19 c1 on a HP3000. Every so often a job running quiz
and/or qtp will have a error in the process. I need a way to test for
errors "*E*" in the job stream, to stop the job before it dose the next
command. Other message that would be nice to be able to test for are:

    Subfile is full
max. entries selected (this one has gotten me several times)

I had a problem when one quiz pass that finds all entries to keep, failed.
The next step was a QTP pass that deleted over half the file.
