PowerHouse 7.10G1 on VMS 5.5

G'day all

My client has had problems installing OpenVMS 7.2 on its VAX 6610.  They had
installed PowerHouse 7.10G1 when they thought VMS 7.2 was OK.  They have now
restored their system back to VMS 5.5 until they can figure out what to do
with the upgrade.  

I have remediated their PowerHouse application (was 6.00C) for Y2K
compliance and intended to use the new Y2K features in 7.10G1.

Has anyone got this PowerHouse version running on a VMS version older than
6.1?  If so, how stable is it and what did you do to get the FLEXlm tool
working?  The standard install for PH 7.10G1 terminates when it discovers
the OS is older than 6.1.  Version 7.10E of PH is supposed to work on VMS
5.5.  What is the difference between 7.10E and 7.10G1 that would prevent
7.10G1 running on 5.5 as well?
